Richard Thomas
I have just stumbled on this web site and am not surprised to see that "Ritchie" Thomas is involved in looking after the community in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd. I was born in Llangynhafal and my Gran had the griffin for many years.I remeber many fantastic Llanbedr Shows, helping Ritchie and his father with the show, which was always a great success. I hope that is still going. I am glad that you have someone who will endeavour to keep the Llanbedr community a family.

Fresh fruit and veg packs
I recently read the advert by Community Councillor J Matishok promoting bags of fruit and vegetables. Why promote this service when our farm shop can supply fresh vegetables, many of them homegrown. We also offer a delivery service, and you can choose the items you want rather than having a random selection of last weeks leftovers. How about trying to support the current businesses in Llanbedr. We employ 7 staff, support the local school and local charities. Why do these people keep interfering with our business?

If you wish to place an order, please telephone 01824 703090 (Wednesday - Sunday inclusive).

footpaths
I've been taking advantage of this recent lovely weather by doing very early morning walks "around the block" but I'm restricted to staying on the road (a round route of 2.2 miles)as so many of the access stiles to the numerous footpaths going across the fields are totally overgrown and therefore inaccessible. What are the obligations on local landowners/farmers to keep these footpaths accessible? (I'm happy to join any working party if that helps!)

We wrote recently to Denbighshire County Council as new footpaths signs had gone up near to Waen Woods, Berth and Tyddyn Tlodion but no stiles therefore preventing access along these routes.

I received a reply to my letter, that stiles will be presented to the landowners to erect. The Public Footpath Inspector will be undertaking a site visit as soon as possible, the results of which he will contact the relevant landowners to arrange delivery of any necessary stiles/gates. They decided to signpost these particular paths because extra funds were made available for signposting, from which they aimed to signpost four paths per community. Paths which are open and usable tend to be signposted; hence the extra funds allowed them to concentrate on signposting paths which weren’t necessarily open to the public but would certainly become available as a result.

I have also been provided with a contact of the local Maintenance Officer for further queries and will be happy to put your question to him, could you let me know which footpaths you refer and I will get in touch with him and advise when I have had a reply?

Thanks.

How about a link to Denbighshire local health board - it then has links to local dentists, GPs, out of hours etc etc

Google Denbighshire Local Health Board
